Test only indicated for patients suspected of C. difficile associated diarrhoea, ie, stools that takes the shape of the container or Score 5-7 on Bristol Stool Chart. (Well formed stools are not suitable for this test.) This is a immunochromatographic lateral flow assay detecting GDH and toxin A/B. In cases where GDH positive/toxin negative, confirmatory test is required to exclude toxinigenic C difficile (such as Gastrointestinal PCR panel, test code: GIPFA)

Collect a small scoop of stool in a screw capped container with the attached spatula
